What services are provided to the families?

Believing that family involvement is a key element in a student's achieving academic and social success, CDC promotes a strong working relationship with the families of our students.

Frequent telephone contacts and conferences are encouraged to maintain an active dialogue between home and school.

An Open House is held each fall giving families the opportunity to meet teachers and other staff members, see their student's classroom, view other school features, and learn what programs will be offered to their youngsters during the year.

All students and their families are teamed with a School Social Worker to serve as their on-site case manager. The case manager is available to act as a liaison between the school, the family, and appropriate community agencies.

Counseling to individual family members is available and bilingual services are provided to all our Hispanic families.
